About Vino Village
Vino Village is a free, interactive wine education experience where the world's most famous wine grapes come alive as characters. Each grape shares their story, and you learn about wine by getting to know them like friends — no lectures, no jargon, no snobbery.
Vino Village is designed for the wine curious, not the connoisseurs. If you've ever felt intimidated by a wine list or a wine shop, this is for you.
How it works
Travel across 6 tribes: meet characters like Princess Nora (Pinot Noir), listen to their stories, pass short quizzes, and unlock the next character.
Build your Digital Cellar: every time you pass a character's quiz, you unlock that grape's Digital Cellar. Snap a photo of a bottle you've tasted, add a rating and tasting notes, and watch your personal wine collection grow.
Track your Sommelier Score: a 0–1000 score that maps to 7 sommelier-themed levels, from Novice to Master Sommelier, based on your progress, quiz performance, and how recently you've practiced.
Learn 23 grape varieties: where they're grown, their flavor profiles, how they're made, and the facts that make them memorable — grounded in WSET and Wine Folly course content.
Free users get 3 "wine glasses" a day (your daily quiz attempts, refreshed every 24 hours). Village Passport, our optional subscription, removes the daily cap for unlimited practice.
