Adelaide Hills, Australia

Princess Nora says: "Pinot Noir doesn't only grow in Burgundy, you know. This Australian bottle is bright and easy, full of cherry and cranberry, and the 2019 vintage scored 90 points from The Wine Front and took a Silver at the Australian Pinot Noir Challenge. Pike & Joyce is a five star winery in the Halliday Wine Companion. Simple pleasures deserve good wine too."
Pairs with: Grilled salmon, roast chicken, or a simple charcuterie board
2. Great value-for-money
Ata Rangi : Crimson Pinot Noir 2024
Martinborough, New Zealand
$66 / bottle
Nora's pick in Burgundy & Co Wine Box
Princess Nora says: "Ata Rangi is one of New Zealand's finest Pinot Noir producers, and Crimson is how they welcome you into their range. Delicate wild berry and rosehip on the nose, light and crisp on the palate, rated 91 points by Stephen Wong at The Real Review. Elegant and refined without asking too much of your wallet."
Pairs with: Roast pork belly, mushroom pasta, or a cheese platter
3. To impress at a dinner party
Bindi : Dixon Pinot Noir (Organic) 2023
Macedon Ranges, Australia
$77 / bottle
Princess Nora says: "The Macedon Ranges is one of the coolest wine regions in Australia, and you know I prefer cold weather. Dixon is organic, with cherries, wild raspberries and a hint of orange peel, and James Suckling gave it 96 points. Fresh, pure and elegant."
Pairs with: Roast duck, mushroom risotto, or grilled salmon
4. For a special occasion
Giant Steps : Sexton Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022
Yarra Valley, Australia
$108 / bottle
Princess Nora says: "Giant Steps makes single-vineyard Pinot Noir in the Yarra Valley, and Sexton is the deepest and most brooding of their 2022 wines. Bramble berries, earth and a little black pepper. Halliday Wine Companion gave it 96 points and James Suckling 95. Open it for a birthday or an anniversary."
Pairs with: Roast duck, rack of lamb, or aged Comté cheese
